That being said, being in a relationship or being married to someone is something that is beautiful. To some women it lights up their world, while others find a sense of comfort in the bond they share with their partners or spouses.

But on the other hand, there are women, who find it more satisfactory to live a life of singledom and be independent of all the hassles created by love and relationships. To give you a clearer picture of it, here are 7 women who share why they are happier single than in a relationship.

I am a 30 years old working women who is currently single and not at all ready to mingle. Not that I have never been in a relationship, matter of fact, I have been in multiple relationships. However, I have never felt better, even at such an age where I should be married and with a kid — according to the rules of the society.

Who needs a partner when you can have amazing friends. Over the years I have realized, how being in a relationship takes away the bond we ly shared with our friends.

Being in a relationship always made me feel at an edge, where I had to make a choice between my aims and my relationship. It was never a good feeling because both were important to me.

However, over time, I started realizing my worth and understood how my relationship was choking me from the inside. Becoming single and independent made me more focused on my goals and aspirations rather than having to compromise them for others. When you are in a relationship, you have to think not just for yourself but for your partner too.

While it may seem standard, but it is extremely exhausting. But having been single for quite some time, I have come to realize my own worth and have taken a step towards self-growth. From being married to having children, these are the demands a women must meet. Therefore, I have always been scared and tormented by the idea of being alone.

Being single is a journey I have always been afraid to take. I believe being single should be choice rather than seen as something lacking. Us woman are much more capable of achieving our dreams than men, but while the mentality of the people are so restrictive, it makes us all the more subjugated and deprived. It was almost 2 years of physical and mental abuse, after which I collected all my courage and decided to leave.

Only those who have experienced the same atrocity will ever understand my pain. And therefore, if you have been in an abusive relationship before, only then will you know the value of being single and independent.
